Mr Stuart Wright 3rdDan,He is a BTCB trained and authorised instructor, firts aid trained, fully insured and has been DISCLOSURE checked via the BTCB, and is Kukkiwon registered.

Stuart took up taekwondo in 1995 training under Master David Bailey 7th Dan, one of the best instructors in Britain. He first became an instructor for Master Bailey in 1999. The excellent instruction of Master Bailey is what enabled Stuart to become such a proficient student and instructor, as Master Bailey holds one of the highest grades in the U.T.A. and the U.K.

In 2010 Stuart was appointed as  Lead Cadet Coach with BTCB Scotland's National Development Squad, working alongside National Performance Coach Master Nikos Jakubiak.

Stuart moved through the stages of training until he reached his 1st Dan in 1998. He has won various competitions over the years including every Kup Competition in Scotland in his category over a three year period. He won the Kendal Kup competition three years in a row, the first of which was while he was still a Yellow Belt. His competitions culminated in him being selected to attend British Team trials where he took second seed. He competed for Britain in the Trans Atlantic Cup against Team U.S.A. He has fought against many of the sports top athletes from home and abroad.  Now that a veterans division has been created Stuart has started competing again.  In the 2011 British National Championships he came away with silver when medics stopped the final while he was winning 10-2.  At the 2011Chi Open Chamionships he gained gold in both the Senior and Veteran divisions. He was selected for the GB National Team attending the 2011 European Masters Games in Italy.  Where on reaching the final he lost out on gold to the German National Team Coach by only one point to take the silver medal.

In June 2009 he was selected to represent Scotland in the Regional Poomsae Championships were he gained bronze.

Stuart is dedicated to developing WTF Taekwondo. He hopes especially to encourage youngsters to take up the sport, to this end he works with the local Active Schools co-ordinator and has run classes in local schools and in holiday play schemes.   In his position as a Lead Cadet Development Coach with the BTCB Scottish National Development Squad along side Master Nikos Jakubiak (one of the top coaches in the UK and Europe) he hopes to inspire and improve the performance of all youngsters within the sport, and to help produce the champions of the future.
